Lookah Snail Settings: Voltage Colors
Press the button twice to move to the next voltage setting. The LED on top changes color so you always know which heat setting you are on.
| Light color | Voltage | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Green | 2.4V | Most flavor, thin oils and live resin |
| Blue | 2.8V | Smooth everyday hits |
| Purple | 3.2V | Balance of flavor and vapor |
| Cyan | 3.6V | Thicker oils, more vapor |
| White | 4.0V (highest) | Biggest hits |
Some sites still list older Snail specs (3.2V to 4.1V). The Snail 2.0 uses the five settings above.
Lookah Snail Light Colors Meaning
Besides the voltage colors, the Snail 2.0 uses its light to warn you about problems:
| Light | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Green and blue, alternating | 10-second preheat is running | Wait for the light to turn off, then draw |
| Red | Low battery | Charge it soon |
| Red blinks 10 times | Battery too low to fire | Charge it now |
| Flashing red | Charging | Leave it plugged in |
| Green or cyan (while plugged in) | Fully charged | Unplug and go |
| Yellow | Short circuit at the cartridge connection | See the blinking yellow fixes below |
| Purple (warning) | High-temperature alarm | Let it cool down for a few minutes |
| Blue (warning) | Output overload | Check or swap the cartridge |
Lookah Snail Blinking Yellow or Not Hitting? How to Fix It
- Re-seat the cart: unscrew it and screw it back in until it is snug. Don’t overtighten; that can push the center pin down.
- Clean the threads: wipe the 510 connection on the battery and the bottom of the cart with a cotton swab and a little isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry.
- Try another cartridge: if a different cart works, the first cart is the problem, not the battery.
- Make sure it is on: press the button 5 times within 2 seconds.
- Charge it: if the light blinks red 10 times, the battery is too low. Plug it in until the light turns green or cyan.

What Cartridges Fit?
The Snail has a standard 510 thread connection and room for carts up to 1ml, so it works with most 510 oil cartridges. It also works with Lookah 510 wax atomizers if you want to use it for concentrates.
Lookah Snail 2.0 vs the Original Snail
The Snail 2.0 keeps the same snail shape and hidden-cart design, but moves the LED indicator to the top, so you can see your setting and battery warnings at a glance.

Lookah Snail FAQ
What is the Lookah Snail 2.0?
The Lookah Snail 2.0 is a snail-shaped 510 thread battery that hides your oil cartridge inside its zinc alloy shell. It has a 350mAh battery, five voltage settings from 2.4V to 4.0V, a 10-second preheat and an LED on top that shows your setting.
How do I use the Lookah Snail?
Charge it, screw a 510 cartridge into the battery, then press the button 5 times within 2 seconds to turn it on. Press twice to change the voltage, press 3 times quickly to preheat, and press and hold the button while you inhale. Press 5 times again to turn it off.
What are the Lookah Snail settings?
The Snail 2.0 has five voltage settings: green 2.4V, blue 2.8V, purple 3.2V, cyan 3.6V and white 4.0V. Press the button twice to move to the next setting.
What is the highest setting on the Lookah Snail?
The highest setting is white, 4.0V. Start lower for better flavor and turn it up only if you want bigger hits.
What do the colors mean on a Lookah Snail?
While you vape, the color shows the voltage (green, blue, purple, cyan or white). Warning lights: red means low battery, purple can mean a high-temperature alarm, yellow means a short circuit and blue can mean an output overload. Red blinking 10 times means the battery is too low and needs charging.
Why is my Lookah Snail blinking yellow?
Yellow means Lookah detected a short circuit at the cartridge connection. Unscrew the cart, wipe the 510 threads on the battery and cart with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol, let them dry and try again. If a different cartridge works, the first cart is the problem.
Why is my Lookah Snail flashing green and blue?
Green and blue flashing in turn after 3 quick clicks is the 10-second preheat. The light turns off when preheat is done, and you can take your draw.
Why does my Lookah Snail show a blue or purple light?
Blue and purple are also voltage colors. If they appear as a warning when you press the button, blue means an output overload and purple means a high-temperature alarm. Let the battery rest, check the cartridge and try again.
How long does the Lookah Snail take to charge?
About 60 minutes with the included Micro-USB cable. The light flashes red while charging and turns green or cyan when the battery is full.
Can I use other cartridges with the Lookah Snail?
Yes. The Snail 2.0 has a standard 510 thread and fits most 510 oil cartridges up to 1ml, plus Lookah 510 wax atomizers.
Is City Vaporizer an authorized Lookah retailer?
Yes. City Vaporizer is an authorized Lookah retailer, so your Lookah Snail 2.0 is genuine and covered by the manufacturer warranty.
