The Dr Dabber Switch 2 is Dr Dabber’s flagship e-rig and the closest thing to a torched quartz banger in an electric dab rig. How to Use the Dr Dabber Switch 2
- Fill the glass with water just above the perc holes and set it on the unit, cloud pathway facing the rig.
- Power on with the switch on the back. The 3 LEDs above it show battery level.
- Load the insert: lift the magnetic carb cap and use the heated Drop tool to drop in your dab without touching the insert.
- Pick a preset with the + and − buttons.
- Cap and heat: replace the carb cap and press the (d) button. The lights climb red while heating and pulse green when ready.
- Take long, slow draws. Press (d) once at any time to cancel the cycle.
How to Clean the Switch 2
- After every dab: wipe the insert with a dry cotton swab, then with a swab dipped in 91%+ isopropyl alcohol (ISO) while still warm.
- Deep clean: once cool, remove the glass, aluminum crown and insert, then clean the chamber, cloud pathway and crown with ISO swabs.
- Glass: fill with ISO and a spoon of salt, shake, rinse with warm water and let dry.
- Shell: use a damp towel with a little dish soap. Never use ISO on the outer finish.
- Tip: the app’s cleaning assist cycle warms the insert for 30 seconds to make cleaning and removal easier. Do not torch the inserts.
Good to Know
- Works with flower too: Dr Dabber recommends the Titanium Insert for flower, hash and kief.
- Let it rest: after 3 or more back-to-back cycles, give it about 20 minutes to cool.
- Charge smart: recharge below about 15% and unplug once full to extend battery life.
- Upgrade the insert: the Switch 2 Sapphire Plus Insert ($124.95) gives the cleanest dabbing surface.

How long does the Switch 2 battery last?

Why is my Switch 2 not charging?
The Switch 2 has a low power protection mode. Plug it into the official charger with the power switch ON and leave it for several minutes. When the back LEDs start flashing, turn it off and on again. If it still will not charge, try the unit reset in the manual, then a different USB-C cable and adapter, and contact us or Dr Dabber support if the problem continues.
How do you clean the Dr Dabber Switch 2?
