Dr Dabber Switch GO: The Portable Switch E-Rig
The Dr Dabber Switch GO takes the famous Switch experience on the road. It is 54% smaller than the Switch 2, at about 6 inches tall and 12.8 oz, but keeps the parts that matter: a pure 14mm quartz insert with no atomizer to replace, app control from 250 to 650°F, the same 6 Dynamic Heating Modes and USB-C pass-through charging. It is one of the most capable portable electric dab rigs you can carry in a bag.

Why People Pick the Switch GO
- Truly portable: half the weight of the Switch 2 and small enough for a backpack or the Dr Dabber Tour Bag.
- No failing atomizers: a solid quartz insert replaces the coils that wear out on most portable rigs.
- Banger-style flavor: the default Descent Mode cools during your hit, like a torched quartz banger.
- Full app control: exact temps, hold times, heat modes and lighting in the Dr Dabber app.
- Lit-up water chamber: the ambient light arc and glowing glass show heat-up progress at a glance.
- Keeps going: pass-through charging means a low battery never ends your session.

The 6 Dynamic Heating Modes
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Descent (default) | Starts hot and cools during the hit, like a torched banger. Preserves terpenes and avoids burnt taste. |
| Ascent | Starts lower and builds heat during the hit. Great for cold starts. |
| Steady | Holds one temperature through the whole cycle. |
| Hill | Rises for clouds, then eases down for a smooth finish. |
| Valley | Dips low for flavor first, then climbs for clouds. |
| Custom | Build your own heating curve in the Dr Dabber app. |
Temperature Settings
Press + or − to choose a preset, shown by LED color. Each one can be changed in the app, anywhere from 250 to 650°F.
| LED color | Default temperature |
|---|---|
| Purple | 400°F |
| Blue | 440°F |
| Cyan | 480°F |
| Orange | 500°F |
| White | 540°F |
How to Use the Dr Dabber Switch GO
- Charge it over USB-C before your first session (about 45 to 60 minutes).
- Fill the glass with water just above the perc holes and set it on the unit, lining up the cloud pathway.
- Power on by holding the button for 2 seconds. The 3 lower LEDs show battery level.
- Load the insert: lift the magnetic carb cap and add a rice-size dab with the dab tool.
- Pick a preset with the + and − buttons.
- Cap and heat: press the (d) button. The lights climb red while heating and pulse green when ready. Take long, slow draws.
How to Clean the Switch GO
- After every dab: wipe the insert with a dry cotton swab, then with a swab dipped in 91%+ isopropyl alcohol (ISO) while still warm.
- Deep clean: once cool, remove the crown, glass and insert, then clean the chamber, cloud pathway and crown with ISO swabs.
- Glass: shake with ISO and a spoon of salt, rinse with warm water and let dry.
- Shell: use a damp towel with a little dish soap. Never use ISO on the outer finish.
- Tip: the app’s cleaning assist cycle warms the insert for 30 seconds to make cleaning easier. Do not torch the insert.
Good to Know
- Works with flower too: use the Switch GO Titanium Insert for flower, hash and kief.
- Let it rest: after 3 or more back-to-back cycles, give it about 20 minutes to cool.
- Save battery: turn off Bluetooth pairing (hold + and − for 3 seconds) when you are not using the app.
- Upgrades: Dr Dabber offers Sapphire Plus and Titanium inserts, extra glass and an inline recycler for the GO.

Dr Dabber Switch GO FAQ
Is the Dr Dabber Switch GO worth it?
If you want the Switch experience in a rig you can carry, yes. The Switch GO keeps what makes the Switch 2 great, a pure quartz insert with no atomizer to replace, app control and the same 6 Dynamic Heating Modes, in a body that is 54% smaller and about half the weight. The trade-offs are a smaller 14mm insert, fewer heating cycles per charge and a 1-year warranty instead of 2.
Switch GO vs Switch 2: what is the difference?
The Switch GO is 54% smaller (6 inches tall, 12.8 oz vs 9 inches, 25.6 oz) and costs less. It uses a 14mm quartz insert that holds up to half-gram loads, while the Switch 2 uses a 20mm insert with induction heating and a patented IR sensor. Both share the app, the 250 to 650 degree F range, the 5 color presets and the 6 heat modes. Pick the GO to travel, or the Switch 2 for the biggest dabs at home.
Switch GO vs Puffco Peak Pro: which should I get?
Both are app-connected portable e-rigs. The Switch GO uses a solid quartz insert, so there is no atomizer or chamber to wear out, plus Descent Mode for banger-style hits. The Puffco New Peak Pro 3DXL uses a larger ceramic 3DXL chamber. Choose the GO for quartz flavor and no replacement parts, or the Peak Pro for its bigger chamber and accessory ecosystem.
How many dabs do you get per charge?
Dr Dabber rates the Switch GO for up to 20 heating cycles per charge on its product page, and up to 25 in its knowledge base, depending on temperature, hold time and light brightness. A full charge takes about 45 to 60 minutes over USB-C, and pass-through charging lets you keep dabbing while it charges.
What temperatures does the Switch GO use?
The range is 250 to 650 degrees F, adjustable in 1-degree steps in the app. The 5 button presets are Purple 400F, Blue 440F, Cyan 480F, Orange 500F and White 540F, and you can customize each one.
What are the Switch GO heat modes?
The Switch GO has 6 Dynamic Heating Modes: Descent (the default, cools during the hit like a torched banger), Ascent (builds heat for cold starts), Steady, Hill, Valley and a Custom mode you build in the Dr Dabber app.
How big a dab can the Switch GO handle?
Dr Dabber recommends about a rice-size dab, but the 14mm quartz insert can handle loads up to half a gram.
Can you use flower in the Switch GO?
Yes. Dr Dabber says it works with dabs, hash, kief and flower, and recommends the Switch GO Titanium Insert (sold separately) for flower and other dry materials.
How do you clean the Switch GO?
Swab the insert with a dry cotton swab after each dab, then with a swab dipped in 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol while still warm. For a deep clean, remove the crown, glass and insert once cool and clean the chamber and cloud pathway with ISO. Shake the glass with ISO and salt, rinse with warm water and let dry. Never use ISO on the outer shell, and do not torch the insert.
Why is my Switch GO not charging?
The Switch GO has a low power protection mode. Leave it on the official charging cable for several minutes until the front LEDs flash, then turn it off and on again. If that does not work, reset the unit (press the (d) button 8 times, holding the 8th press for 10 seconds) and try a different USB-C cable and adapter.
What comes in the Switch GO box?
The Switch GO e-rig, a 14mm quartz insert (installed), a glass water attachment, a carb cap, a dab tool and a USB-C charging cable.
What warranty does the Switch GO have?
Dr Dabber covers the Switch GO battery, charger and electrical components for 1 year. Inserts and glass are not covered.

Neha –
Just like the Switch 2 but I can bring everywhere with me. Even though it just released, I knew that Dr Dabber would come through with this product. Highly recommend if your looking for something that you can bring anywhere with you. Very light weight.
