Two products, same name, different price tags.

A lot of people search "Proxy Core" expecting one product and find two. That's because Puffco actually sells it two ways, and they're not interchangeable. Buy the wrong one and you'll either overpay or end up with parts that don't work on their own.

Which one should you buy?

Already own the newer Bluetooth-enabled Proxy base, the one that connects to the Puffco Connect app? Then the standalone Core accessory is all you need. It adds the glass-free cup and mouthpiece without making you pay for a base you already have.

Don't own a Proxy base yet, or not sure if yours is the older or newer version? Skip the accessory. Get the Core Kit instead. It comes with the compatible base built in, so it works the moment it arrives.

Note: the original, non-Bluetooth Proxy base doesn't work with either the Core accessory or the Core Kit's cup system. If you're upgrading from an older Proxy, double check your base's compatibility first.

Why this gets confusing

Puffco names both products almost identically, and most retailers only stock one or the other, so you're usually only seeing half the picture depending on where you shop. Reviews and coverage of the product line often shorten "Proxy Core Kit" down to just "Proxy Core" too, which doesn't help.
