How To Use The Arizer Air 2
When you receive the Air 2 it is wise to fully charge it before running it at full temperature for one cycle. This will ensure no residue during the manufacturing or shipping process will remain in the vaporizer. The best kind of dried herb to use with the Arizer Air 2 is a medium-coarse grind. Next, pack the dried herb into a glass stem. Turn the Air 2 on by holding down the Menu button and input the desired temperature. The heads-up-display shows the current and desired temperature which is controlled by the Up and Down buttons. How To Clean The Arizer Air 2
As with many Arizer products, the Arizer Air 2 is a breeze to clean and maintain.
- The glass stems will need the most cleaning out of the entire device. This is surprising considering the Air 2 has a heating chamber within the unit.
- Soak the glass stems, once dirty, in isopropyl alcohol for 10-12 hours.
- The heating chamber may become sticky with residue over time. A cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol provide a solution to this problem.
- After cleaning, the Arizer Air 2 should be run on the hottest heating cycle (a burn-off) for one session. This safeguards against any rubbing alcohol getting into contact with the dried herb.
- Arizer Air 2 offers the ability to heat up while charging, presenting enough time  to clean the unit and burn-off the isopropyl.

overall my arizer air 2 is decent. i’m fairly content with it. my only issue was that one of the glass slides shattered within less than two weeks of use. it was a clean break right along where the plastic mouthpiece meets the glass. not sure why. i’m just hoping it doesn’t require constant replacement parts.

I have not owned a vaporizer for many years, but when I did, it was bulky, difficult to use, inconsistent and extremely inefficient. So when I decided to look for a portable 18650 powered unit, I was immediately drawn to the Arizer II’s feature set, small size, and sleek modern design.
Meeting all my requirements (including battery efficiency), being Canadian made sealed the deal. My initial impression upon opening the box and inspecting the unit was that the build quality and finish were first rate. The entire housing is anodized inside and out, and the screw cap thread meshes perfectly and is completely flush when tightened. The rubber cover over the heating element looks to be well attached and durable. The heating element is well insulated; the outside never gets too hot to touch.
While I don’t approve of the overly luxurious packaging, everything you need to get started straight away is supplied in the box. The battery will need to be charged before first use, which could take up to 7 hours (new lithium batteries ship discharged). Only one mouthpiece aroma tube and 4 screens are supplied, which I find a bit disappointing considering the obvious expense of the aforementioned packaging. You will probably want to order some extras with the initial purchase; I lost 1 screen within the first 10 minutes.
The Arizer II ships with a Panasonic NCR18650B 6.5A discharge cell, which are now cheap and readily available online. Maximum temperature (220c) is reached quickly (less than 90 seconds), and is maintained even during extensive use. With an NCR18650GA 10A discharge cell, the heating time can be reduced to around 60 seconds. You can expect over 30 minutes continuous vaporizing from a fully charged NCR18650B/GA battery.
While the convenience of USB charging is available, it may not be adequate for daily use. Purchasing a good quality 4-slot smart lithium battery charger and some additional batteries will ensure you can vape any time anywhere, while simultaneously charging used cells.
Using the Arizer II is always a pleasure. Its small size makes it discrete and unobtrusive. Loading the aroma tubes is fast and easy. With a mesh screen holding the herbs in place, there is zero contact with the heating element itself, meaning nothing to clean and no burning odours. The first couple of uses, I was shocked at just how much vapour could be extracted from a single load. I continue to be impressed by the far more economical and enjoyable sessions. With the savings I am seeing already, the Arizer II will have paid for itself within a couple of months.
Temperature regulation is precise, making operation nearly foolproof. At a setting of 210-215c, it is virtually impossible to burn the herbs before all of the vapour has been extracted. The vapour draw is very smooth, and stays surprisingly cool throughout the session, considering the short stem of the aroma tube. I can’t really comment on the ‘quality’ of the vapour produced since I don’t have a recent basis for comparison, however when compared to smoking the same quantity of herbs, the experience is incomparably better, not to mention the benefit to my lungs and health.
In conclusion, I couldn’t be happier, and am VERY impressed with the Arizer II. It looks to be a workhorse that’s built to last, and has a warranty to match – thus I am happy with the USD$229 price tag. Leave it to Canadians to be passionate enough about vaporizing that they produce a world-class product like this – it does the job, and it does it VERY well without mess or fuss. If you are looking for a highly compact and portable vaporizer that produces consistently pleasing results with reduced effort, look no further than the Arizer II.
