Carta Classic Review
Carta Classic Review
Everything You’ve Imagined Portable Dabbing Could Be
Get ready for an awesome dabbing experience with the CARTA CLASSIC in sleek black. It’s a modern version of the classic design and hits harder than any other device in its class. You’ll still get the same great flavor and function from Focus V, but with a few new features.
The new Carta Classic is an updated version of the Carta OG – it now has a more modern design, in all black. Focus V re-designed the Carta OG back in November 2022. Even though it got upgraded, it is still the same price.
Mobile App
Take your dabbing to the next level with the Focus V mobile browser and Focus V Carta App. It connects to your Carta Classic and lets you set your temperature and time settings. You can also keep track of your dabs and download the app for updates and new features.Â
Customization
With the Carta Classic, you’ll have complete control at your fingertips. The handheld device allows you to adjust the temperature settings with four different options. There are RGB-LEDs on the device, which communicate the device status. The lights can also double as mood lights, and add some ambiance to your room.
Removable Batteries
Keep your Carta charged on-the-go with the removable 18350 Focus V Carta batteries. You can keep a spare set fully charged and ready to go. Connect to the Focus V Carta Battery Bank via USB-C for backup power. Whether you’re hiking or traveling, the Carta Classic will always be ready for use.
Carta Classic vs Focus V Carta 2 Review
Carta Classic vs Focus V Carta 2 Review
The two main differences between these models: pricing and removable batteries. The new Carta Classic is at a lower, more accessible price point. Alot of people prefer the fact that you can swap the batteries out of your Carta Classic. That gives you a level of freedom that you wouldn’t have with the Carta 2. If you’re someone that is always on the go, then you might prefer this.
The Carta 2 also has a larger atomizer, as well as an LCD display. The build and design of the Carta Classic dab rig is a lot more simple so it will be more straightforward to begin your session. Sometimes less is more- it’s all about your preference.
In our view, the big deciding factor between these two is the price. Considering the price point, the Carta Classic performs very well. It gives excellent vapor quality, battery life, and a sleek and modern design. The Carta Classic is definitely something to consider if you don’t want to commit to the Carta 2’s extensive customization options.

Carta Classic vs Old Carta OG
You might be a bit confused- what is the difference between the Carta Classic and the Carta? From the first look, you can see that the Carta Classic is now all black, instead of the Black and White body of the OG.
Focus V has re designed the OG Carta and given it a makeover. This update features the new all black body, so that you don’t have to worry about staining your device. Dabbing can get messy, and it’s nice knowing that the black will conceal any accidents that happen.
The biggest improvement with the Carta Classic is the Atomizer. The Classic now comes with the Everlast atomizer. The Carta OG did not include the Everlast atomizer- customers had to buy it separately. The Everlast atomizer is much more durable and requires less cleaning.
Other new features include the RGB lights, and the Universal Glass top. The new RBG lights on the Classic give it a serious cool factor. The glass top on The Classic is now interchangeable with the glass top on the Carta 2. It’s now a Universal Glass piece- like Puffco did with the Puffco Peak and the Pro.
The New Carta OG (sold above) includes the Everlast atomizer.
Quick Start
Step 1: Charge your device.
The device comes with two 18350 Batteries. It should be fully charged before it’s used for the first time. Charge the device for around 2 hours to reach 100%. You’ll know it is fully charged when the lights on the device have turned off.
Step 2: Fill up your glass, but not too full! Attach the glass top to the base- The atomizer and attachment holes should line up.
Step 3: Load your concentrate into the atomizer.
Step 4: To power on your Carta, click the home button 5 times. To set your desired temperature, click once to cycle. As the Carta is heating up, the lights will flash blue. Once it has reached the desired temperature, it will show solid green.
Heating Presets: 500°F, 630°F, 770°F, 842°F (260°C, 332°C 410°C, 450°C)
Step 5: Take a hit, and enjoy your session!
How to Clean Your Carta Classic
Tip 1: Don’t overload your atomizer!
If you load too much concentrate into your atomizer, it can spill over into the heating plate and the connections. You want to keep the heating plate and connections clean at all times.
You run the risk of doing irreversible damage if you don’t follow this important rule! If the concentrate gets onto the heating plate, it can cause thermal shock. If it gets into the connections, it can cause read errors. Improper use voids the warranty.
Tip 2: Clean your device after every use!
If you want your device to last a long time, you should form the habit of cleaning it after every session. Carry swabs and ISO wipes with you everywhere you bring your Carta. You want to clean the hard to reach places like the atomizer and down into the connection on the base.
Use the ISO wipes to clean the threadings on the atomizer and the base. You want to prevent buildup on these areas. If you don’t these pieces might get stuck and might be hard to unscrew, reducing the functionality of your device.
You should also do deep cleans of your device by soaking your atomizer lids, inserts, and your bubbler in ISO to remove all of the buildup.
